WEDNESDAY 11TH APRIL: KNARESBOROUGH


Wednesday 11th April




Morning! Something we have been noticing these days is that with the cereals and the toast we are still hungry so this morning we decided to go to McDonald’s to order something apart from having our normal breakfast. I had a cheesy bacon flatbread and trust me it is the best thing I have ever tried, also the melted cheese was delicious!!! I wish they had these in Spain, and the curious thing about these is that after going there once McDonald’s ads would start poping all over my Twitter which I found it funny but anyways let’s skip to our visit to Knaresborough which is a beautiful small city to a 30 min bus ride. 

The bus left us there and when we arrived to the center we had a 15 minutes free time where we saw a jumble sale where they sold food,clothes etc and we found 2 bags of Kit Kat for 1£, sounds like a deal right? No. We were so happy with our bags until we found out that they were expired, anyways who is going to die because of a little expired chocolate? :’)  After our free time finished we went through a walk near the river, it was beautiful and the temperature was really pleasant. But we lost, we were searching a house in a rock, that we actually passed next to it. After that long walk we got back to the center where they gave us papers for a rabbit  hunt with a time of 1 hour. We had a little trouble understanding the map at first but at the end we managed to do it and we went in search of the rabbits which were placed in the windows of the shops and we had to tell what character they were because they were dressed special. We found all of them and at the end they gave us a mini chocolate egg which was kind of disappointing because it was tiring but at the end it was a fun experience. It was a lovely little city and people are so nice. 

We went back to York where we took the bus to go home. We had chicken and mashed potatoes with carrots and broccoli and day 4 was finished.

SUNDAY 15TH: RETURN FLIGHT HOME. GOOD BYE YORK

Sunday 15th April ( by Arianna) My alarm sounded at 4:45 as I have settled it and time was up. I was sad because I knew this trip has came to an end. I dressed up and I passed breakfast for some reason. I brushed my teeth and added the last things to my suitcase.  Our “mom” offered us some snacks which I accepted and told us goodbye. Then “our dad” took us to York where we would all meet at the bus. I sat with Guille and we talked about random things and we played parchis in the mobile phone.  The journey to Manchester was fast. When we arrived we told goodbye to our coaches and did the normal things in an airport. When we passed all the controls our teacher gave us 10 pounds ( each group of 3 ) to buy something at the airport so we decided to go to the KFC and get something. YORK JOURNALS COMPETITION AND LAST CHALLENGE

As promised there have been awards for best journals. It was a really difficult decision as there were many who would have deserved a prize. SATURDAY 14TH: WHITBY AND ROBIN HOOD'S BAY

Saturday 14th April Today we went to the English sea !! We woke up at the same time as always 6:45 and did the same things as every morning. We had to be in the meeting point at 9:00 am where we would take the bus to go to the Robin’s Hood Bay which had nothing to do with Robin Hood. It took us around 1h and 20 min to get there and there we had more or less 1 hour of free time in which I went with Niurka, Sara and Chen to take pictures. It was beautiful, I loved it.  Then we went to Whitby which was at about 15 minutes by bus. The first thing we did is eating but it was kind of uncomfortable because there were gulls all around and we didn’t really relax. Then we visited the abbey of Whitby and we got down where we would have free time, the weather was so good I bought an ice cream and we were looking for fudge. After buying the fudge we went to the other part of the bridge where Alex and Elisa got a waffle and we stayed on a bench until the free time finished....
